If you are ever in need of a great book recommendation, or you just wanted to discuss an author or two, she is your gal! In addition to excellent taste in literature, Elisa is a very kind and cheerful person who is always up for a chat.
To find out more about her, read below!
Hi! What’s your name?
Everyone calls me Ely. When I was a kid, my grandad used to call me Lily.
The nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
I love recycling things to turn them into some interesting creations. For example, I’ve recently made a chandelier for my apartment using some branches I collected from the park.
The strangest talent you have?
I grew up on the countryside, where we used to light a fire in our fireplace every night. I would say I’ve always been pretty good at it.
What’s the three things still left on your bucket list?
Your personal favorite place in Berlin?
Teufelsberg. It is with no doubt my favorite place here in Berlin. I find it very inspirational. I love its history and how it was then turned into this amazing centre of street art.
Couldn’t survive in Berlin without...
books. I buy and read so many books, it’s really crazy. They make my life better. I couldn’t imagine my life without books.
Got any favorite quotes or inspiration?
I would choose the one that is also written on the Berlin Wall, from Erich Fried. It says: “He, who wants the world to remain as it is, doesn’t want it to remain at all”.
